The book is now on sale!

The anthology is a very attractive book, A5 size and when held feels very much like the Readers Digest. Very attractive with photos of the theatre and the Davenport Compton Organ inside, the glossy cover follows the design of the posters used: colourful lines crossing on a black background. Thank you to all who have ordered so far. The stories and poems are varied and interesting, for instance: do you know who McJeeves the Butler was? He was a valued friend and retainer of Lord and Lady Macbeth, providing their buttered toast, tea and Dundee cake. Take a look. You'll agree.

Books cost just £4.99 each, with the full profit of £3 per book going to Theatre Royal Onward. They are available from:
The Buxton Festival book shop
Hyde Library

More outlets will be announced soon - if you have any ideas for outlets, please get in touch.

Hopefully, owing to the support of one of our poets Keith Large, we will receive support from the Buxton Fringe. Keith's play 'Laughter from Leicester' is being shown on the 13th July from 7.00pm at the Poole's Cavern Buxton. Tickets are available from Buxton Opera House. Hopefully we'll be there promoting and selling.

As an extra surprise we have had a gift from Jeffrey Archer: a signed copy of his latest publication 'And Thereby Hangs a Tale' , to raise funds in some way. The way is yet to be decided: or maybe someone would like to make an offer. A wonderful present for a fan of Lord Archer.

Note: Competition secretary Muriel Nichols has changed her email to nicholsbm@nicholsbm.plus.net
She has been concerned that authors may have tried to contact her in this way for the competition results and to place orders. Many apologies to those who have.
